ammado was founded as a mission-based, for-profit enterprise in Dublin in 2005 by serial entrepreneur Peter Conlon and Dr. Anna Kupka, with a beta version of the site released in June 2007. Since then, the site has developed rapidly and is now available in 10 languages (English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Korean, and Japanese) with activities in over 100 countries.
