B. How Do I Create a New Card?

If you have information that would be beneficial to other connectipedia users and no related card exists, then you can create the card and input the information yourself. First, double-check that the card you are looking for does not already exist by searching a key term in the search box at the top of the page.

To create a card, click on "+ add" in the search bar results. After naming your card and entering any information you have in the content box, hit submit.

Unique Card Names

Note: Every card has to have a unique name in connectipedia so that it is possible to create links and have easy-to-read web addresses. Be as descriptive as possible with your new card name to reduce the chances of error when creating a new card. Connectipedia will not allow you to create a new card with the same name as an existing card.

Choose a Card Type

Each card in connectipedia has a type, and you can choose a card type from the Card Type menu located in the top right-hand corner of the card header. The default type is called "Basic."

The template for your card is automatically created. All you need to do now is enter information you have in the corresponding areas.

Note: If some or all of these options do not appear for you, it is most likely because you do not have permission to make the change. If you think there is a permission error, please so we can investigate.
