Description:
"Neighborhood excellence. That’s what it’s all about. We believe strong neighborhoods develop leaders who, together with their friends, co-workers, and local businesses, build vibrant, healthy places to live, work, and play.
We believe developing relationships with and investing in local nonprofits/charitable organizations, identifying and training leaders, supporting neighborhood anchor institutions, and working hand-in-hand with national partners builds healthy communities.
Our programs are created through conversations between our local market leaders and the companies and community partners in their neighborhoods. Those conversations continue every day in each community in which we do business. We put a premium on identifying and responding to local needs."
Local grant making
Our on-the-ground market president network partners with community leaders to ensure local grants meet local needs.
Our national programs and partners help us identify opportunities and provide services and resources to our neighborhoods.
Anchor institutions are economic catalysts such as local arts institutions, universities and hospitals that support the health and vibrancy of our neighborhoods.
Neighborhood Excellence Initiative
Bank of America’s signature philanthropic program puts a premium on identifying and responding to local needs, including helping top nonprofits/charitable organizations build capacity, plan for the future, and simply operate every day.
