Mission

Bouand DanceCompany’s mission is to present powerful, compelling and unique Contemporary Ballet performances that are accessible to all audiences and provides inspiration and mentorship for young dancers in transition from student to professional status.

History

Bouand DanceCompany was founded in 2005 by Alexandrous Ballard and eight local professionals. It was recognized as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit in early 2006 and has operated in the community since then with critically acclaimed performances, in school performances, intensives and other public events. In particular Bouand DanceCompany provides local advanced students with opportunities to study and rehearse with European and American choreographers and currently utilizes a core of 9 dancers.
