ChangeXchange, the latest initiative of Springboard Innovation, allows anyone, regardless of financial or social background, to become an investor in positive social change—a microphilanthropist. This means that you can be a key part of the most cutting edge and innovative solutions to challenges in your own community. ChangeXchange invites visitors to “invest” shares of their personal assets, however small, to increase community capital. Each of us can give our share (most of us have at least $5!). Because microphilanthropy becomes a powerful force when gathered, each share on ChangeXchange is only $5. What the community receives in return is social profit in the form of healthier families, energy independence, new neighborhood resources, and global security.  

Visitors to the ChangeXchange Web site explore select innovative projects that improve communities in a variety of issue areas, including health, environment, economic stability, and peace, among others. Users browse social ventures that have met Springboard Innovation’s unique and stringent criteria, and provide seed funding for their launch by donating investments of any number of shares. We have learned from President Obama's campaign and Muhammad Yunus that "small is big" and that you want to make a difference, even in some small way.
