John Abbe

John Abbe+my space

I'm President / board member at the Co-Intelligence Institute, which researches and advocates some of the most systemic strategies i know of toward a world that works for all.

I consult to Grass Commons, as a member of the team developing the Wagn software that runs this site.

Started attending Oregon Network for Compassionate Communication board meetings and supporting a new communication technology effort with them among other things (i've been learning and sharing Nonviolent Communication for about 10 years).

You can see more about me at http://ourpla.net/

More on interests of mine which i can't find a place for in the Table of contents:

  • Creative participatory / collective wisdom processes such as Open Space and Wisdom Council
  • Nonviolent Communication and other personal / group development stuff (especially as it relates to social change)
  • Transparency
  • Intellectual property rights reform - free/open source software, free culture, software patenting, etc. (would this go under Legal Public Policy?)
  • Other technology issues such as digital rights management, etc.
  • Changing stte corporate charters to include triple bottom line.
  • Revoking corporate personhood (probably requiring a constutional amendment at this point), and replacing it with a law granting limited rights.
  • ...

Feel free to leave notes for me by editing this card and writing here:

Hey John! In your response to your comment about where I found the error.html, I tried typing "ONE/Northwest" in the "Go to card" field (and ended up with this URL: http://connectipedia.org/wagn/ONE%2FNorthwest). I don't think it likes the "/" character.

Thanks. I created a ticket that should address this — http://wagn.org/wagn/disallow_slashes_in_search_bar_created_card_names
