Micro Enterprise+definitions
A micro-enterprise is a type of small business. A micro-enterprise is defined as a business having 5 or fewer employees and a seed capital of not more than $35,000[citation needed]. Typically, micro-enterprises have no access to the commercial banking sector. Microfinance institutions have become common sources of funding for micro-enterprises, particularly in the Third World. Persons who found a micro-enterprise are usually referred to as entrepreneurs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro-enterprise
Microfinance refers to the provision of financial services to poor or low-income clients, including consumers and the self-employed. The term also refers to the practice of sustainably delivering those services.
More broadly, it refers to a movement that envisions “a world in which as many poor and near-poor households as possible have permanent access to an appropriate range of high quality financial services, including not just credit but also savings, insurance, and fund transfers.”
