OJM maintains a comprehensive library and archive documenting the Jewish experience in Oregon. The archive provides a wealth of information for scholars, genealogists, and other researchers. There are organizational records of the many Jewish philanthropic societies that marked the early immigration of Jews to Oregon from Germany. There are also collections from prominent families and individuals.
The photograph collection comprises nearly 3,000 images dating from the mid-1800’s to the present. It is the largest dedicated collection of the visual history of the Jewish people of Oregon in any place in the state.
The museum also holds an extensive oral history collection.
