Social Venture Partners Portland (SVPP) is a community of engaged donors. We believe in doing more than attending auctions or writing checks. For us, really giving back means contributing our expertise and networks along with our donations. It means rolling up our sleeves and getting involved. SVPP helps build our community’s capacity to get things done: advancing initiatives; achieving results; improving lives.
Since SVPP’s inception, we have invested more than $1 million in the Portland metro area. Including our funding, the value of our Partners’ time, co-investments, and the operational outputs and benefits to our Investees, we estimate the total philanthropic impact to the community has been more than $5 million. This is true impact and it’s the best way to demonstrate how our engaged philanthropy model can achieve significant results for our community.
