Springboard Innovation
Springboard Innovation+description
Springboard Innovation's mission is to enable youth and adults to design and launch sustainable, innovative solutions to local and global challenges through educational programs, community engagement, and public forums. We help individuals identify root causes of community issues, then, through a series of hands-on workshops, we help them build venture capacity by providing resources, tools, networking, and funding support. Springboard accomplishes its mission through three primary initiatives: 1) Local Agenda- an educational program to foster new social entrepreneurs; 2) The ChangeXchange- an online marketplace for investment in social enterprises; 3) and the Social Innovation Forum.
Since our founding in 2004, Springboard Innovation has delivered quality products that teach social entrepreneurship and innovative problem solving. For example, we have developed classroom material for “The New Heroes” series on PBS; materials for “Room to Read: Students Helping Students;” and created the “Challenge and Change” program for Girl Scouts USA. Most recently we have launched the new Springboard Social Innovation Forum series in Portland.
