A longitudinal study of Symphony Orchestras & their sustainability
From 1994 to 2004, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation invested $13 million in its Magic of Music Symphony Orchestra Initiative. Fifteen orchestras were supported and tracked through this project (including Oregon Symphony).  The Search for Shining Eyes outlines significant lessons learned for both funders and symphony orchestras.
